Insulation – protection for fault-free operation

Electronics and motors work with a wide range of electrical currents. The materials within them are highly conductive. To avoid short-circuits, it is essential to insulate live parts from each other. To this end, various insulation processes can be used, for which dosmatix offers perfect dispensing solutions.

Hazardous external influences such as temperature fluctuations, high humidity, mechanical loads (e.g. vibrations) or dirt can have a massive deleterious effect on the lifespan of electronics components. For this reason, parts taking heavy loads such as capacitors, throttles or spark plugs need to be protected against them. Insulation plays a key role here. Components completely encapsulated in casting resin are reliably insulated from each other.

This method also optimises the thermal, mechanical and electrical properties of the component. Overall, the service life, mechanical stability, resistance to temperature changes and high voltages are increased. One important thing, in processing, is ensuring no bubbles are incorporated during material transport and application. The entire vacuum potting process takes place at dosmatix within closed systems.
